    • Does it identify all the skills or individuals who will be needed to carry out the measurements?
    • Is the effort and cost to undertake the benefits reviews realistic when compared with the value of the anticipated benefits?
     
    Checklist ensures a Checkpoint Report for the project is targeted and useful.

    • The report clearly states the reporting period covered.
    • Every product/deliverable in the Work Packages, for that period, is covered by the report.
    • Includes an update on any unresolved issues from the previous report.
    • The report is prepared at the frequency required by the Project Manager.
    • The information is timely, useful, objective and accurate.
    • The level and frequency of progress assessment is right for the stage and/or Work Package.
    • The report is accessible for all project team members.
    • The report does not repeat/contain dated information.

    • Does the Project Brief contain the approved Project Product Description?
    • Does the Project Brief contain an approved project management team structure and define roles?
    • Does the Project Brief contain the Project Executive role description?
    • Does the Project Brief contain the Project Manager role description?
    • Are the project objectives, project approach and strategies consistent with the organization's corporate social responsibility directive?
    • Are the project objectives: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-bound (SMART)?
    • After you have completed the Project Brief and taken a step back, does it provide a commonly understood and well-defined starting point for your project?
    • Later on in the Project Initiation phase, are the contents of the Project Brief included and expanded in the Project Initiation documents?
